Sales:
Our general sales force is distributed throughout 400 branches and is over 2,400 employees strong. The sales force is supported by a centralized customer service center and additional resources in product management, purchasing, inventory control and sales management. Each branch serves one or more designated market segments:
National Accounts:
Within WESCO's formidable sales force, we have specific sales personnel dedicated to large customers with multi-locations that we call National Accounts. Our national accounts sales force coordinates electrical MRO procurement and materials management activities across multiple locations for industry-leading industrial and commercial companies.
WESCO's industry-focused National Account Managers develop service and supply programs tailored to customers' specific requirements. Joined by specialists in implementation and cost improvement, and an expert group of contract administrators and pricing analysts, WESCO's National Account Managers lead teams that combine national marketing and sales support with local product fulfillment and services through a network of
400 branches throughout North America.
Marketing:
Because of the wide range and sheer number of products (215,000+ SKUs) our branches and distribution centers stock, comprehensive marketing support for our sales force is essential to WESCO.
WESCO's marketing group's primary objectives are to:
- Support branch sales and marketing activities
- Establish a joint marketing planning process with suppliers
- Provide sales tools to increase the ramp up of sales to targeted customers and market segments
- Develop industry-leading marketing collateral and product catalogs
Logistics:
Our Logistics organization handles customer service issues, and manages stock and product flow.

e-Commerce:
WESCO's e-Commerce group has established WESCO as an industry leader in rapid e-implementation to our customers' procurement systems and in providing integrated procurement functionality.
In addition to establishing direct connectivity to our customers' ordering processes, the e-commerce group is also responsible for development of our e-commerce website, WESCODirect.com. The site is a powerful tool that enables you to increase ordering efficiency, deploy secure Internet purchasing throughout your organization, and gain around-the-clock access to critical information.
